Mapping The Universe: with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS Data Release 4)

An Astronomy documentary concerning recent progress in observational cosmology. This movie presents the story of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey's mapping of the galaxy distribution. It flys you backward through over half a million galaxies and quasars mapped by the SDSS Survey, and finally through the Cosmic Microwave Backround mapped by NASA's WMAP satellite. Finally it returns to the control room at Apache Point Observatory.

Your welcome, just something I stumbled across when I was doing a search for SDSS in Google Maps. I've seen it done on some webpage, but it was really small and was trying to find a better version.

I ended up downloading the program used in that video. It's interesting to play with, but takes a pretty powerful computer, it brought my P4 3.4Ghz to it's knees... :)
